At surface level the Summarian makes brief statements or accounts of the main points of an event [n.b event scale; can be simply a conversation or live performance]. They are naturally reading content, correcting error, rewriting to improve literacy and verifying facts cited. Ensuring that content is fit for purpose.
You will need a passion for writing but also a sharp eye for detail across all forms of media and the ability to hit deadlines.
When working in teams Summarian’s are adaptable to the requirements of others, while maintaining exceptional quality and creating original content.
## Key responsibilities include:
- Proofing copy and fixing any grammatical and/or spelling errors
- Fact check names, places, statistics and organisations
- Ensure the copy is in line with the publishing site’s ‘house style’
- Working with and possibly answering to the Producer
