Covers

PC Computing January 1996

I have a pile of magazines that I do not have the room to keep, so I have been scanning them and then throw them away (recycle them)

I thought it might be interesting to make an image file of each magazine scanned and then display them in a federated page.

Then on the page where the cover appears I might expand on what I find interesting in tha particular issue. and might even include image(s) of the contents as well.

In order to not make internet pages for what others might not find interesting, I intend to include them in a localhosted federated wiki site, having the name of the magazine followed by the dot group name ".mazazine" for this particular magazine that will be PcComputing.Mazazine and a port for magazines :9301.

Also other popular titles such as

time.magazine

newsweek.magazine

byte.magazine

pc.magazine

... etc. ...

I can then create the batch file run9301.bat in a batch file subfolder along with the other subfolders such as assets, pages, recycle, status in the pccomputing.magazine subfolder within the sfw/local/ subfolder of the sfw folder.

This just part of the structure I have created using my platform of localhosted federated wikis.

I expect I will create at least 100 but more probably hundreds and even a thousand or more such Folder Structures.

I am already using a series of site subfolders with the name of internet site in the subfolder cloud in the sfw folder

A local copy of this site appears in a periodically updated

subfolder sfw/cloud/site/don.noyes.asia.wiki.org

This might be more clearly stated than above, but it will have to do for now, especially since this is only An Experimental Structure subject to change as it becomes what it wants to be.
